Shine Foundation (Canada)
Shine Foundation creates brighter futures for young people in Canada aged 11-21 living with severe physical disabilities.
The Program Team works with youth during a critical stage in their development where they’re looking at their potential. Upon exploring the individual’s interests and goals, a customized Dream is created with the aim to inspire confidence or independence, and a sense of purpose. We help Dreamers see new possibilities for their future, turning their mindset from “I can’t” into “I can”.
Straz Strong (Canada)
The Straz Strong Foundation was founded by Ryan Straschnitzki, a survivor of the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash, with a mission to empower individuals with disabilities. While Ryan’s journey laid the foundation, the focus has now shifted to the incredible people we help, sharing their stories and providing tools for independence and success.
The Straz Strong Foundation facilitates opportunities for individuals with disabilities to engage in adaptive sports, promoting physical activity and inclusivity. Through alliances with organizations like the Shine Foundation, they provide adaptive equipment to those in need, enabling them to pursue their passions.
